The Doubletree Hotel was a much more central and spacious venue than that for PIPEX 2005, enabling the show to have 228 frames of exhibits
and 38 dealers!

The USPS booth cancelled covers with a special pictorial cancel in the shape of Oregon to celebrate 150 years of
statehood.

Grandma's Attic was often busy with people who had brought items in to be appraised.
|

The caliber of the exhibits was high. Gold medals were awarded to several of the Swiss exhibits,
including Roger Heath's DeCoppet Razor Cancelers of Switzerland.

exhibit won the single frame Grand and Gold!

My New Hebrides / Nouvelles-Hébrides exhibit achieved a vermeil, one level below gold.

The PIPEX medal has 9 sides, one for each participating state (USA) or province (Canada)
of the Northwest
Federation of Stamp Clubs.

I was also given the
AAPE Gold Award of Honor for excellence in presentation.
|
The new UEEF (Uniform Exhibit Evaluation Form) provided some nice comments about the "low cost" aspects of my
exhibit, but they want me to dig deep!!
