Orlando (September 6-12, 2006)

Disney's Animal Kingdom was opened in 1998, and at over 500 acres is the largest Disney theme park in the world. It is set out like a wheel, with Discovery Island, home of the Tree of Life, as the hub. The other five lands (The Oasis, DinoLand USA, Asia, Africa, and Camp Minnie-Mickey) are on the outer radii and are reached by bridge.

It has more of a feel of a zoo to it, and I found the activities flowed into one another, making it a less disjointed experience than, say, the Magic Kingdom. It was probably our most relaxed and enjoyable day.
