In July 2002, due to heavy board censorship by eBay staff, there was talk of changing the club name to remove the reference to eBay, and moving to other chat boards. Indeed, the topic was discussed at the July meeting. By then, the iusc.org domain had been secured and website set up. However, the majority vote at the time was not to change the name.
In 2004, the constitution was extensively revised, and included changing the name from eBay Stamp Club to eBay Users Stamp Club. This was approved on April 4 2004.
Some members realized belatedly that an apostrophe belonged in there, and there was some discussion on where (i.e. before or after the second "s."). It was put to a vote on June 12 2005, with a majority vote changing the name to the eBay Users' Stamp Club.
After the name change, it was decided to update the club's logo. The then current logo was in the name of ebaY Stamp CLUB in JPG format.
Original logo: ebaY Stamp CLUB
Various designs were submitted, and those short listed differed mainly in how the word Users' was depicted. Some were produced in GIF format.
philatarium, Aug 2004: Users' depicted in purple in GIF format
philatarium, Aug 2004: Users' depicted in light blue in GIF format (winning design)
greenwave4u, Apr 2007: Users depicted in various colors (not light blue), apostrophe missing, in JPG format
The chosen logo depicted Users' in light blue in GIF format. Various sizes were prepared for use on the website or as thumbnails in posters' signatures.
The following unadopted designs are presented for completeness. I do not know who made them, but believe it to be a board member from the British Commonwealth in July 2002.
